Students from Vocational school „John Atanassov“ visited again the Bulgarian Association of Network Academies

On 27 and 28 March 2019 a group of students from the Vocational high school „John Atanasov“ visited BAMA. The visit is related to the implementation of “Cloud Technologies“ club activities, led by engineer Alexander Mihailov and “Computer Technology in Foreign Language”, led by Dzana Ivanova.

The Chairman of BANA Teodora Borissova informed the students about the opportunities for training within the Cisco Networking Academy, with the certification and the opportunities for career development.

During the meeting, Teodora Borissova also presented the innovative project that BANA has been working on for the last two years – Erasmus +, 2017-1-RO01-KA202-037344. http://e-classes.eu/

The project has already developed a methodology that forms the basis for the creation of multimedia lessons in various technological disciplines on the principle “Flipped Classroom”: students have access to video materials previously developed by the teacher and in the lessons, attention is paid to the practical part – discussions, exercises, educational games.

Bulgarian Association of Networking Academies organized multiplier event for the purpose of disseminating e-classes

E-Classes – Flip your classes through multimedia enriched apprenticeship simulations and

develop e-skills for VET teachers and students to enhance youth employability

Ref.no. 2017-1-RO01-KA202-037344

On 08 February 2019 Bulgarian Association of Networking Academies organized multiplier event for the purpose of disseminating the project “Flip your classes through multimedia enriched apprenticeship simulations and develop e-skills for VET teachers and students to enhance youth employability or in brief E-classes.

The project is funded under the Erasmus + program, Key Activity 2, Strategic Partnership in VET, 2017-1-RO01-KA202-037344. http://e-classes.eu/

Thirty-eight teachers from 20 vocational schools all over the country were introduced to the goals of the project, the target groups, the means of the project, as well as the developed methodology of flipped classes, which shows the basis of the creation of multimedia lessons in different technological disciplines. Within the project, video tutorials on the Guide were developed with subtitles in four different languages – Italian, Spanish, Romanian and Bulgarian.

The next step of the project will be to develop 40 lessons on technological disciplines.

The flipped lesson supposes that the teacher prepares the theoretical part of the lesson as a video material to which the students have access before coming to class. This way during the lessons, they will have more time for discussions, practical exercises, etc. Flipped classes methodology is expected to raise the motivation of the students as well as to make them be more proactive in class and reach better results.

Teodora Borissova, the chairperson of BANA, presented the aims of the project as well as the main parts of the methodology and Spas Kostov from IT World introduced the participants in the event to the platform e-Classes where all resources of the project are uploaded. The materials are available for everyone to access them with user name and password and special administration access will be given to those teachers who would like to upload their materials and share them with other teachers and students.

BANA and other 7 partners from 4 countries are working on Erasmus+ KA2 VET project E-Classes

Bulgarian Association of Network Academies (BAMA) and other 7 partners from 4 countries (Bulgaria, Romania, Italy and Spain) are working on Erasmus+ KA2 VET project E-Classes – Flip your classes through multimedia enriched apprenticeship simulations and develop e-skills for VET teachers and students to enhance youth employability or, short, E-classes. The project is funded under the Erasmus + program, Key Activity 2, Strategic Partnership in VET, 2017-1-RO01-KA202-037344.

The project developed a methodology that will form the basis of creating multimedia lessons in different technological disciplines. Based on the methodology, each partner developed video tutorials in English, but also with subtitles in the four languages of the partners – Bulgarian, Spanish, Italian and Romanian. Videos are available on YouTube at the following address:

At the international meeting, which took place on 02 and 03 October 2018 in Sofia, the partners announced the successful completion of the development of the methodology and video lessons.

The essence of the flipped classroom is that before the lesson the learners have access to the video material that prepares them theoretically, and during the sessions, there is a discussion session and practical exercises, etc.

The aim is to ensure maximum attendance of learners in class – giving them the opportunity to think more sensibly, provoking their thinking followed by discussions; the theoretical knowledge is applied in practice.

Teachers from vocational schools will undergo one-week training in Madrid between November 26 and November 30, 2018, on the methodology established under the project. On the Bulgarian side, instructors from the Cisco Academies, members of BAMA, will participate.

Група ученици от 11 клас на СПГЕ “Джон Атанасов“, заедно с преподавателя си и Сиско инструктор, инж. Дзана Иванова, посетиха Българската асоциация на мрежовите академии /БАМА/.

A group of students from the 11th grade of the Professional High school „John Atanasov“ visited BAMA

On March 28, 2018, a group of students from the 11th grade of the Professional High school „John Atanasov“ together with their instructor and Cisco instructor, eng. Dzana Ivanova, visited the Bulgarian Association of Networking Academies (BAMA).

They were welcomed by the Chair of BANA – Teodora Borissova, who introduced them to the training opportunities within the Cisco Networking Academy as well as to the certification and career prospects of the program graduates.

During the meeting, Teodora Borissova told them about the Erasmus project on which BAMA works „Turning lessons through multimedia enriched simulations and developing e-skills for teachers and learners in vocational education and training to increase employability among young people „Or briefly E-classes. The project is funded under the Erasmus + program, Key Activity 2, Strategic Partnership in VET, 2017-1-RO01-KA202-037344. http://e-classes.eu/

The project will develop a methodology that will form the basis for the creation of multimedia lessons in different technological disciplines. Prior to the tutorial, the learners will have access to the video material that will teach them theoretically, and during the sessions, they will have a discussion session, practical exercises, etc.

This principle is also working at the Cisco Networking Academy.
The students are in Computer Networks and Computer Technologies and participate in the Cisco Networking Technology Club. The visit was part of „Your Time“ project.
