CCNP Routing and Switching се основава на учебната програма на CCNA с задълбочено проучване на разширеното маршрутизиране, инсталиране и конфигуриране при работа с локални и глобални мрежи със 100 и повече точки и с протоколи и технологии като TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, Frame Relay, STP, VTP и други. Учебният план на CCNP Routing and Switching се състои от три 70-часови курса: ROUTE, SWITCH и TSHOOT.
